I know this was days ago, but now I’ve finally uploaded the pictures of Mélanie at the closing ceremony for the 2008 Cannes Film Festival. Mélanie wore a very unique, orange-feathered dress, and kept her hair very simple. I wish I could have collected more images from this event, but unfortunately, I was only able to find ruffly 35 images. If you come across any that aren’t in our gallery, you’re always welcome to send them our way! I hope everyone enjoys these photos, as much as I do. Some are in HQ format, so be advised dial-up users.

Cannes came to a close a couple of days ago, and unfortunately I couldn’t make a proper update the day of. Mélanie did, however, make appearances at a couple different events and as you can see in the gallery, we already have images from the Directors of Short Films Photocall. During the Cannes craze, Mélanie took the time to show her support (as was the case last year) for the organization “AmFar Against Aids”. Unfortunately, very few pictures were found from that event but Mélanie looked smashing in her black halter dress.
Pictures from the final event of Cannes that Mélanie attended will later be added to the gallery. Fingers crossed that they will appear later tonight, but I can’t make any promises. In the mean time, enjoy the pictures from the events listed above!

Great, great news everyone! Mélanie has made her first appearance at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival. According to this article, Mélanie arrived at Cannes on Monday. Thanks to Mariana, we have the translated article. I’ll be posting it at the end of this news feed. Mélanie attended the screening of a movie entitled “Che”, looking simply radiant, and dawning a very brunette color. I’m going to try and collect more pictures from this event, but so far I haven’t been able to find too much. However, stay tuned for more updates!

At 25 years old and despite a whooping-cough that is killing her voice, Mélanie Laurent is living on a little cloud. The reason? She’s just finished a 7 minute long short film called “De Moins En Moins”, the story of a “patient who, in her psychologist’s office, starts to remember less and less”. She’s also signed for a long feature film, will play as an actress in a film this Summer, and will direct a stage play in Paris, near the Champs-Elysées. “I’m starting to get recognized but nobody bugs me. There’s no hysteria or intimate embraces. I’m at a perfect inbetween place”.

We’re finally back, after a weekend away. I hope everyone enjoys the new look. Personally, as much as I loved the past layout, it was a bit too dark for my liking. So now, we have a lighter, brighter, spring-like layout.
I did a bit of tweaking, with sidebar images and all around look. I really wanted the site to look classic, and as professional as possible. I want to thank the amazing Ivan for this magnifique layout, and Tathy for the lovely coding!

On another note, I will be leaving later today for vacation, so unfortunately, I won’t be able to update within that time. I’ll be back on the 26th of March, so updates should resume sometime after that. Ivonne will do her best to make updates as needed, but she’s very busy right now.

But don’t worry too much, as I’ve added lots of picture goodies for everyone to enjoy whilst I’m gone. My dear friend Maria scanned a page from Elle France, of May 2004. You must check this photo out, as it’s probably one of the cutest pictures of Mélanie ever. I’ve never seen it before, so maybe it will be new to a lot of you, too. With that, I also added captures of Mélanie on “Ca Tourne”, which aired just this last October. I cannot get over just how gorgeous she looks, and I really doubt I have to push for anyone to go and check these out. Also added, are some appearances photos I might have missed from any of the past years. Have fun browsing, everyone.. and I will see you all on the 26th!!

Paris Fashion Week came to a close March 2nd, closing off with “Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2008/2009″ and none other than Mélanie Laurent showed up, looking fabulous and dawning a very red haired do. Other celebrities to attend the show were Gemma Arterton, Milla Jovovich, Zhang Ziyi and Sofia Coppola. Unfortunately, at this time, I was only able to collect one single image, but I’m working on grabbing more, so stay tuned for gallery uploads!
