Great, great news everyone! An amazing visitor had the video of Mélanie appearing on “Le Grand Journal” we had as an exclusive here before the site was hacked, saved on their computer, and kindly donated it back to us!! I was able to make screencaptures of the video, and I will be adding the video soon enough! But for now, if you hadn’t seen the images from before, make sure you check them out in our gallery now!!

My wonderful friend Maria gave me a great idea today. If any of you visitors happened to download the video, before the website was hacked, and still have it on your computers, it would mean the world to me if you would send it back. Of course, full credit will be given back.. but most of all, I’ll be able to make captures and re-add it to our archive. I really hope someone can help me out with this, as I’m having no luck finding it elsewhere!

Since Mélanie is busy at work, and there’s a bit of downtown now that Paris is in theatres, I decided to clean up the gallery and video archive. I was a bit shocked to see the amount of spam in both archives. I deleted over 1000 comments and removed around 200 users. The spam problem is getting out of hand, and I really don’t have the time to manually clean up everything day by day. So, for now, open registration is closed for the gallery and video archive. If you wish to become a member, you must send an email to contact@melanielaurent.net, with the subject line “Gallery and/or Video Registration” and your desired username listed in the email. Simple emails just listing the username will not be accepted (please take the time to write a little extra, showing me you’re not a generated bot), and I’ll filter as I see fit. I don’t know how long I will be able to manually set up accounts, but requests will last for as long as I can handle it. Sorry for any inconvenience!

A little while ago, Allocine put up a behind the scenes look at the upcoming romantic-comedy, Shoe at Your Foot. Intentionally, I waited to update about this, so not to defer from all the Paris promotion that was going on. However, I finally added the video and screencaptures to the media archives. Like usual, Mélanie shows a spunky and fun loving side in this video, goofing around with co-star Justin Bartha. We English speaking folk can get a bit of insight from Justin, as he talks candidly about the project in the video. No word yet on when Shoe at Your Foot is to be released.

I’m excited and so happy to say that we have more from the César Awards, that just took place a couple of nights ago. Maria found some gorgeous pictures of Mélanie celebrating with Marion after receiving her César. You should definitely check out these photos, she looks incredibly lovely.
Even better news, everyone! A visitor named B had previously recorded the Césars, and kindly uploaded and donated the video clip of Mélanie presenting the award for “Best Short Film”. I’m so pleased that to say we now have the video clip in our archive, and hopefully more pictures show up! I also made captures if the video, totaling to about 150+. I’m loving Mélanie’s entire look at the 2008 Césars and hope she can return next year to nominations and wins on her behalf!
